Gladys
I met Gladys, Mrs. Pittman’s granddaughter who lives with her, for the first time to day. What a sunny person she is. I promised to put this picture of her and her cousin,Jasmine, up on the blog today and so here she is with our Pastor Joan:
The Vermont House is a project of the Vermont Faith Community to build a house in Mississippi . Originally organized by members of the Williston Federated Church the work team consists of members of 12 different Vermont Churches.
There are 70 volunteers filling 83 slots over three weeks (some are going for more than one week) to build a house in Jackson County, Mississippi. They have raised close to $45,000 for the construction.
